William ‘wanted to reconcile with Harry’ on his own, not under King Charles’ orders

The relationship between William and Harry has reportedly been strained for several years

Prince William and Prince Harry recently attended a funeral together, but despite their close physical proximity, the emotional distance between them remained evident.

Last month, the brothers arrived at St Mary’s Church in Snettisham, Norfolk, to bid a final farewell to their uncle, Lord Robert Fellowes.

Royal observers had hoped that this moment of shared family grief might bridge the rift between them, but that was not the case, reported Mirror.

The relationship between William and Harry has reportedly been strained for several years, and this funeral marked the first time they had been in the same room together in 2023.

This frosty encounter brings to mind the days following the death of Queen Elizabeth II in September 2022, when William and Harry briefly set aside their differences.

The two brothers, along with their wives, Princess Kate and Meghan Markle, came together for a surprise joint walkabout, impressing onlookers with what appeared to be a temporary truce. It was during this period of mourning that William reportedly extended an ‘olive branch’ to his younger brother.

At the time, various theories circulated about the impromptu walkabout. However, it was later revealed that Prince William had sent Harry a last-minute text inviting him and Meghan to join him and Kate on the Long Walk in Windsor.

This reunion marked the first public appearance of the two couples—previously known as the ‘Fab Four’—since the Sussexes stepped back from their royal roles and moved to the U.S.

According to a source from the Daily Mail, William had been scheduled to meet the well-wishers and view floral tributes, but decided at the last minute to invite Harry and Meghan to join them.

A well-placed source told the paper at the time: “It happened very quickly – remarkable really considering they didn’t see each other in Scotland.” The paper reported that it was the Prince of Wales’ decision to send his younger brother the olive branch of joining him for the walkabout, and it was ‘absolutely not the case’ this was done on the direction of their dad, the new king, as was previously thought.

It is thought the Prince of Wales had already mentioned the idea of viewing the flowers and greeting well wishers with Harry before reaching out to his younger sibling via text – something that was said to have been acknowledged by the Duke of Sussex. William felt that a show of unity was key during a period of national mourning out of respect for their grandmother.

The walkabout was originally scheduled for 4.30pm but was reportedly pushed back by 45 minutes as William and Harry discussed their plans.

Two years on and the feud shows no sign of thawing. There was reportedly no communication between William and Harry at the recent funeral of Lord Fellowes, with a source telling The Sun that although the princes ‘were only five yards from each other’, they were seated on opposite sides of St Mary’s Church, and didn’t appear to converse after the service.

The source shared : “They were sat two or three rows back from the front, not at the back, but they were on opposite sides of the aisle. And then there were family members on the rest of the seats between them, so maybe that is something that was arranged.”

They continued: “A lot of people were taking the chance to speak to them. They were only about five yards from each other, it was virtually back to back. When we left the reception they were both still there, but as we were on a walk we saw Harry driven off in a black Range Rover.”

Blake Shelton shares his thoughts on Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship

Blake Shelton has recently gushed over Taylor Swift and her boyfriend, Travis Kelce’s relationship.

Speaking on the latest episode of The Pat McAfee Show on September 19, Blake responded to a question about believing in Taylor and Travis while picking up for ESPN’s College GameDay on Saturday, September 21.

“I do, man,” confessed the country musician.

Blake “appreciates the fact that they’re both putting it out there in everybody’s face” and “not sneaking around or trying to hide their romance by keeping it on the down low”.

“I think when you’re willing to just come out and [say] that you’re together and you’re owning [the relationship, it shows their love is real],” said the singer.

Blake mentioned he and Gwen also did the same thing during the early days of his and wife’s relationship.

“Look I’m dating Gwen Stefani and I want the world to know that, you know what I mean,” explained the singer,

Blake noted, “The fact that they’re [doing that] shows they’re probably super into each other and proud of each other and their accomplishments.”

The God’s Country crooner believed that Travis is a “perfect match” for Taylor.

“I’ve been around Travis just once or twice and I don’t think he really has it in him to just … he’s a standout no matter where he is or what he’s doing,” declared the singer.

Blake remarked, “Travis has just got this big personality, he’s a funny guy, he walks into the room and he has a presence there.”

“So, there’s never going to be a moment when he’s in the shadows anyway just because of his charisma and his personality. He owns the moment, whatever that is. I love his personality,” added the musician.

Sophia Bush on delayed  ‘One Tree Hill’ reboot

Sophia Bush sighs as the ‘One Tree Hill’ highly-anticipated reboot gets into production after being delayed for about “half a decade”.

“What I can say is that after, God, close to half a decade of these conversations, we’ve been able to all sort of divide and conquer in the coolest way,” she revealed on the Sept. 19 episode of her podcast Drama Queens, while answering fans’ questions about the reboot.

Bush and Hilarie Burton teased the reboot on Instagram in August.

“And those of us with TV producing experience are having some really exciting conversations,” Bush added.

“It’s been in development for some time. I think that’s all I can say,” the actress, who said earlier that she “can’t tell anyone anything” at the moment, continued.

“But,” the 42-year-old added, “yeah, it’s been this experience and really even longer than we’ve had this wonderful show [podcasts].”

“But, the experiences we’ve had with the fans who’ve continually asked the coolest questions and made us think about, you know, where our whole ragtag gang of humans would be at this point [is what] has prompted the ideas.”

“So I think that’s all I can say on this podcast, but I do hope we have exciting updates, and I hope we get great news, and we have a big announcement,” she further shared.

Montana Jordan has fully embraced fatherhood, declaring it the greatest joy ever known.

In a conversation with People at the CBS Hosts Sit-Down Comedy Event in Los Angeles on Wednesday, September 18, the Young Sheldon star discussed about being a father and how much he is enjoying his little bundle of joy.

The 21-year-old actor welcomed his first baby, daughter Emma Rae Jordan, with his girlfriend Jenna Weeks in May.

“It’s been great for me, man. There’s nothing better,” he reflected on his feelings after his daughter’s birth. Jordan, who played George Cooper in the widely acclaimed CBS sitcom, shares he has always been around kids.

He got two little nieces, however, he could “give my nieces back.” But as he became a father, “I can’t give mine back. I’m stuck with her,” he quipped.

“I’m just kidding. No, but she’s great, man. There’s nothing better than freaking being a dad. There’s nothing better, for sure,” the young actor assured.

Since welcoming his daughter on May 21, Jordan has been documenting her first few months on his social media, including when she joined him on his upcoming Young Sheldon spinoff Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage.
