Tom Cruise got paid NOTHING for his death-defying 2024 Olympics stunt

The action star’s only demand for the stunt was, ‘I get to do everything’

Tom Cruise stunned the world with his daring stunt at the 2024 Paris Olympics, and it turns out, he did it all for free.

Casey Wasserman, chairman of the 2028 Los Angeles Games, shared this surprising detail during the CNBC x Boardroom: Game Plan panel in Santa Monica on Tuesday, September 10, praising Cruise’s incredible commitment.

According to Wasserman, the Top Gun star wrapped filming Mission: Impossible in London, hopped on a plane to LA, and filmed the pre-taped stunt where he boarded a military plane. Despite expectations that they’d only get a few hours of Cruise’s time, the Hollywood icon went all in.

“About five minutes into the presentation, [Cruise] goes, ‘I’m in. But I’m only doing it if I get to do everything,’” Wasserman recalled.

On August 11, Cruise closed out the Paris Olympics in epic fashion, launching from the top of Stade de France, grabbing the Olympic flag, and handing it off to LA Mayor Karen Bass and Simone Biles. He then flew the flag to California, skydiving onto the Hollywood sign and adding the Olympic rings — solidifying his place in both Olympic and Hollywood history.

Zayn Malik announces first solo tour after One direction exit

Zayn Malik made the most demanded and anticipated announcement yet the fans are a bit disappointed.

On Tuesday, September 17, the former One Direction sensation crashed Jimmy Fallon’s monologue at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, to announce his debut solo tour, STAIRWAY TO THE SKY TOUR 2024, since exiting the band.

However, what made his fans gloomy is that Malik, 31, had just announced the upcoming tour for the U.S. and the U.K.

His fans took to social media with mixed reactions, flooding the comments section of his posts.

While many expressed excitement about flying to another country for his tour, some seemed disheartened, feeling left out.

“Cries in Europe,” wrote one fan.

“US and UK only, Zayn? [sad emoji] what about other Europe countries, come to Greece [two sad emoji],” a second fan demanded.

“EUROPE???? ITALYYYYYYY,” another exclaimed.

“Crying in Australian because we always miss out [crying emoji],” a fourth fan said.

“ZAYN PLEASE COME TO AUS. IM BEGGINGGGGG,” a fifth fan urged.

While some fans were demanding the Dusk till Dawn hitmaker to take his tour to Australia and other European countries, one fan put forward a thought.

“I think he wants to get used to the feel first, then maybe he will add on more tour dates,” they wrote, considering the stage anxiety that Malik has been vocal about since his days in One Direction with Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson.

Additionally, Malik, who is slated to kick off his first ever solo tour on October 23, has announced the dates on Wednesday, September 18.

Nick Cannon explains how Mariah Carey is coping with the deaths of mother, sister

Nick Cannon has recently shared how his former wife Mariah Carey is doing after deaths of her mother and sister.

Speaking to the New York Post‘s Page Six, the Masked Singer host revealed that Mariah is “doing the best that she possibly can” after losing both her mom and sister in August.

“She’s doing the best that she possibly can, considering the circumstances,” said Nick, who was married to the singer from 2008 to 2016.

Nick continued, “But as a family, we just got to be there to support one another, show love.”

The comedian, who shares 13-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan with Mariah, said his ex-wife has been spending more time with the children to deal with her grief.

“She’s really having a great time with the kids,” he remarked.

Nick told the outlet, “That is, you know, the most important thing in the world to her, so it’s outstanding to see them supporting their mom the way they do.”

His comments came after Mariah posted photos of herself with the twins posing together on the Great Wall of China in Beijing on Instagram on September 14.

On September 8, the songstress broke her silence for the first time over the deaths of her mom and sister.

Mariah posted a video on Instagram of her “Back at work” rehearsing for her upcoming shows in China and Brazil.

“It’s been a couple of rough weeks, but I appreciate everyone’s love and support so much and I can’t wait to see my fans in China & Brazil,” she wrote in the caption.

Derek Watt and his wife Gabriella expecting baby no. 3

Derek Watt and his wife Gabriella are soon going to become parents for a third time.

The 31-year-old former NFL fullback announced about becoming a parent with his wife Gabriella for a third time by taking to Instagram for a joint post on Tuesday, Sept. 17.

“Here we grow again!” the couple wrote. “We are beyond excited to be adding another little one to our family in April! The boys can’t wait to find out if they’re going to have a baby brother or a baby sister.”

The post featured a lovely black-and-white photo, with the couple’s sons, Brayden, 3, and Logan, 5, standing behind a wired fence at a baseball field, backs to the camera, wearing baseball jerseys with their names and birth order.

The siblings also wear baseball hats embroidered with “Big Bro Club” insignia.

Next to the two young boys, another jersey hangs from the fence, with the words “on deck” sewn on the back and a number 3.

An ultrasound strip hangs beside the shirt, and a little baseball bat and glove rest below.

The news was met with a warm response from Derek’s brothers, J.J Watt and T.J Watt.

“LET’S GOOOOOO!!!!!!!!”, the former wrote in the comment section, while the latter dropped a single heart emoji and added the post to his story.

Cristin Milioti, ‘The Penguin’ and Zoë Kravitz

Cristin Milioti, actress from The Penguin, seems to be wanting to socialise with other actresses who have starred in DC Comics adaptations.

“I didn’t [speak with Zoë Kravitz or Crystal Reed], but I would love to chat with them,” the 39-year-old actress told Us Weekly and other outlets at the Tuesday, September 17, premiere of The Penguin in New York City.

“I think they’re fabulous,” she said.

Milioti plays the role of Sofia Falcone on the HBO series, which is based on the origin story of the villainous Gotham criminal Penguin/Oswald Cobblepot, played by Colin Farrell.

Previously, Reed has portrayed the role of Sofia Falcone in Fox’s Gotham series.

On the other hand, Kravitz has portrayed Catwoman in 2022’s The Batman. Halle Berry, Anne Hathaway, Michelle Pfeiffer, Eartha Kitt and other actresses have previously played the character of the feline anti-heroine.

The Penguin picks from where The Batman left off, nevertheless narrowing on Penguin’s rise to prominence in Gotham City’s criminal underworld.

Milioti described season 1 as “unpredictable, twisted, and weird,” adding “or, like, weirder than you might expect.”
