Sub-inspector arrested in abduct, rape case of two kids

Islamabad: A sub-inspector has been suspended and arrested for illegally detaining and raping two children for two days.

According to a report, action was taken against the sub-inspector on a complaint filed by the families of the children with Inspector General of Police (IG) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.

According to the report, the complaint stated that the policeman physically abused the two children apart from picking them up and locking them up in the police station, and later left them at the Edhi Centre.

The IG Police ordered the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Syed Ali Raza to investigate the incident and identify those responsible. During the investigation, it was established that the sub-inspector picked up the two minors, aged 10 and 12 years, begging in Karachi Company on September 16.

According to police, the sub-inspector later took the children to Shams Colony police station, where he was posted, and allegedly detained the children illegally for two days. On September 18, he took the children to the Edhi Centre.

The complainants also accused the police official of abusing the children during their illegal detention, allegations which were confirmed by a medical examination of the children.

After the allegations against the sub-inspector were proven, DIG Syed Ali Raza suspended him and ordered to register a case against him.

DIG told a private media house that the sub-inspector is under custody and departmental proceedings have been initiated to dismiss him on the instructions of the IG Police.

DIG Police Syed Ali Raza said that the Federal Police will ensure strict measures to enforce the law and any officer or official involved in any illegal and unethical activity will be held accountable.

He further said that police officers and officials are not above the law and if any of them exceed their powers, they will face strict legal and departmental action.

Three ATF personnel on polio duty martyred in terror attack in Zhob

Zhob: At least three Anti-Terrorist Force (ATF) personnel on Sunday martyred in a terrorist attack in Zhob district of Balochistan.

According to police officials, the incident occurred when terrorists opened fire on polio vaccination security teams.

Officials informed that Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Gohar Khan was martyred on the spot due to the gunfire. Two other police personnel, Amir Muhammad and Muhammad Shafiq, were critically injured and immediately shifted to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) and they both succumbed to their injuries during treatment.

All three officers—ASI Gohar Khan, Amir Muhammad, and Muhammad Shafiq—were part of the Anti-Terrorist Force tasked with protecting polio teams in the area.

Authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident, and security forces have launched a search operation in the area to apprehend the attackers.

Three terrorists killed in exchange of fire with CTD

Lahore: Lahore was saved from a major disaster as three terrorists were killed in the exchange of fire between the personnel of the Counter Terrorism Force (CTD) and the terrorists.

According to the spokesperson, CTD conducted an Intelligence-Based Operation (IBO) near Nankana Sahib Interchange, during which, the terrorists opened fire on the team of CTD. In the exchange of fire, three terrorists were killed by their accomplices while two escaped.

Officials said that three hand grenades, three detonators, safety fuse wire, two rifles, bullets and explosives were recovered from the terrorists.

According to the spokesperson, the search operation is going on to arrest the escaped terrorists. The CTD teams have blockaded the Nankana Motorway interchange. The process of identifying the dead terrorists is going on.

According to CTD officials, the terrorists had completed planning a major attack on Lahore.

Haleem Adil Sheikh’s driver killed by unidentified assailants

Karachi: The driver of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Haleem Adil Sheikh was gunned down near Super Highway Chakar Hotel Akakhel ground.

According to rescue officials, the person killed in the firing was identified as 45-year-old Shah Nawaz. His body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for legal proceedings.

According to the police, the deceased Shah Nawaz was the driver of PTI leader Haleem Adil Sheikh and a resident of Jangal Goth.

Police suspected that the deceased was killed by unknown armed suspects at another location and escaped by dumping the body near Super Highway Chakar Hotel Akkahel ground.

According to the police, the deceased was killed by two shots on the body and the incident is being further investigated.
