Rebel Wilson files counter lawsuit against ‘The Deb’ producers, alleging theft

Rebel Wilson has filed a countersuit against producers Amanda Ghost, Cameron Gregor, and Vince Holden, accusing them of a “troubling pattern” of misconduct, including theft, bullying, and sexual misconduct.

This development comes months after the producers sued Wilson for defamation in July.

Wilson’s initial accusations on Instagram alleged sexual harassment and embezzlement. The producers claimed that Wilson lied to secure a writing credit and premiere her film, The Deb, at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival.

The cross-complaint alleges that Ghost sexually harassed lead actress Charlotte MacInnes, forcing her to live in Ghost’s apartment and making overtly sexual remarks on set.

Additionally, the trio is accused of embezzling AU $900,000 from the film’s budget.

When Wilson reported these allegations to executive producer Danny Cohen, the producers allegedly retaliated with threats and intimidation, prompting Wilson to hire personal security.

Gregor reportedly threatened to terminate the project and fire 300 cast and crew members unless Wilson withdrew her complaint.

Wilson’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, stated: “Amanda Ghost, Cameron Gregor, and Vince Holden attempted to manipulate the narrative by recklessly filing an outlandish lawsuit. Their real problem? Only a fraction of their outrageous conduct has been revealed thus far.”

“In their desperation to shift the story, they neglected to consider that this strategy would only lead to RW’s filing of a cross-complaint which exhibits a plethora of their shocking misconduct which there are many witnesses to. Many brave people have come forward who have had similar dealings with Amanda Ghost. While unfortunate, this was not a surprise. Stay tuned, this is just the tip of the iceberg. There is much more to come.”

Travis Kelce breaks record with Taylor Swift’s support after NFL slow start

Travis Kelce has faced intense scrutiny both on and off the field, with rumors surrounding his personal life and relationship with pop sensation Taylor Swift.

However, after a disappointing performance in Week 3, Kelce seemed to rebound in Week 4, thanks in part to Swift’s unwavering support.

Kelce’s uncharacteristically quiet game against the Atlanta Falcons, where he managed only four catches for 30 yards, left fans questioning whether he was dealing with more than just on-field struggles.

The Chiefs won 22-17, but Kelce’s dejected demeanor did not go unnoticed by Swift.

According to sources, Swift flew from New York to Kansas City to offer support after the game, visiting Kelce at his mansion.

Although she attended previous games, her absence from Week 3 raised eyebrows, making her visit even more surprising.

Kelce’s slow start this season has been a concern, with only 15 catches for 158 yards through three games and no touchdowns. His struggles were highlighted during the Falcons matchup, where he appeared frustrated on the sideline.

However, in Week 4 against the Los Angeles Chargers, Kelce regained his form, notching seven catches for 89 yards and breaking a significant franchise record previously held by Tony Gonzalez for most receptions by a Chiefs player.

“I felt good” about his Week 4 performance, Kelce declared, ready to continue building momentum.

An insider shared, “That’s the Travis that he always is and was,” emphasising Kelce’s renewed confidence.

While Swift’s gesture made headlines, her recent absence from the stands has sparked speculation. Fans wonder if her schedule or Kelce’s early-season struggles have kept her away.

As Kelce navigates his season and personal life under public scrutiny, the Lover crooner’s support appears unwavering.

Ben Affleck turns to old habits amidst divorce stress from Jennifer Lopez

Ben Affleck was recently seen smoking in his luxury BMW i7 in Los Angeles, appearing downcast as he navigates the stress of his ongoing divorce from Jennifer Lopez.

The 52-year-old actor’s solo outing comes as the high-profile couple works through the complexities of their separation.

Despite their decision to part ways earlier this summer, Affleck and Lopez have maintained a civil demeanor in public, recently reuniting at their children’s back-to-school event in Los Angeles.

However, sources confirm that the divorce is still on track, with no plans for reconciliation.

The couple’s financial disputes have complicated the divorce process. Their $68 million former marital home recently faced a setback after a potential buyer backed out, delaying the division of assets.

With no prenuptial agreement in place, their combined $550 million fortune – Lopez’s estimated $400 million and Affleck’s $150 million – could lead to a contentious battle.

Legal experts suggest that only assets and income earned during the marriage will be considered for division, adding complexity to the ongoing negotiations.

As the divorce unfolds, Affleck and Lopez’s efforts to finalize the split may be complicated by behind-the-scenes tensions over finances and property.

Lopez has 16-year-old twins, Max and Emme, from her previous marriage, while Affleck shares three children – Violet, 18, Fin, 15, and Samuel, 12 – with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner.

Kim Kardashian calls for mercy in Menendez brothers’ case

Kim Kardashian calls for mercy in Menendez brothers’ case

Kim Kardashian has penned an exclusive essay for NBC News, advocating for the reconsideration of Lyle and Erik Menendez’s life sentences.

The reality TV star and business mogul met with the imprisoned brothers nearly two weeks ago as part of her prison reform efforts.

“I have spent time with Lyle and Erik; they are not monsters. They are kind, intelligent, and honest men. In prison, they both have exemplary disciplinary records. They have earned multiple college degrees, worked as caregivers for elderly incarcerated individuals in hospice, and been mentors in college programs — committed to giving back to others,” Kardashian writes.

Kardashian’s essay highlights the brothers’ positive behavior and achievements while incarcerated, including their educational accomplishments and community service. She also notes that 24 family members have expressed support for the brothers’ release.

The publication of Kardashian’s essay coincides with reports that Los Angeles prosecutors are reviewing new evidence in the case.

The Menendez brothers were convicted of killing their parents, Jose and Kitty Menendez, in 1989.

Kardashian acknowledges the complexity of the case, stating, “You think you know the story of Lyle and Erik Menendez. I certainly thought I did… But this story is much more complex than it appears on the surface.”

She details the brothers’ allegations of sexual, physical, and emotional abuse by their parents.

Kardashian criticises the sensationalization of the case, writing, “The media turned the brothers into monsters and sensationalized eye candy… There was no room for empathy, let alone sympathy.”

She notes that her father, Robert Kardashian, served on O.J. Simpson’s defense team, which handled a case involving the same district attorney’s office.

In conclusion, Kardashian advocates for reconsideration of the brothers’ sentences, stating:

“The killings are not excusable. I want to make that clear. Nor is their behavior before, during or after the crime… But we should not deny who they are today in their 50s. The trial and punishment these brothers received were more befitting a serial killer than two individuals who endured years of sexual abuse by the very people they loved and trusted. I don’t believe that spending their entire natural lives incarcerated was the right punishment for this complex case. Had this crime been committed and trialed today, I believe the outcome would have been dramatically different.”
