Prince Harry, King Charles to reunite in UK under new ‘booby trap’ plan

Prince Harry’s Invictus Games will be hosted in Birmingham

King Charles faces a potential reputational “booby trap” following a significant announcement affecting Prince Harry.

Last week, it was disclosed that the Invictus Games, Harry’s sports competition for wounded military personnel and veterans, will be hosted in Birmingham, UK, in 2027.

This marks the second time the games will be held in the UK, following the inaugural event in London in 2014. As the founder of the games, it is highly likely that Harry will travel to the UK for this event.

The prospect of Harry competing on home soil raises questions about whether his father, King Charles, will attend to show support. Charles and Prince William initially backed Harry when he launched the event a decade ago, attending the opening ceremony and later joining him to watch the athletics together in good spirits.

However, relations have since strained, particularly exacerbated by Harry’s criticisms of Charles, Queen Camilla, William, and Kate in his Netflix documentary and memoir, Spare.

And according to PR expert Edward Coram James, who is CEO of media agency Go Up, the announcement has proved to be a “booby trap” for the King.

He told Newsweek: “In some ways, it’s a bit of a booby trap for them. I’m sure it hasn’t been laid as a booby trap, but whether it’s been laid that way or not, it’s a bit of a booby trap because it forces their hand.

“If they don’t go, it looks like they’re weighing petty considerations over wounded veterans, so they have to go. Reputationally, they can’t not go. Then it forces considerations like, Well, do they then get seen together? And if they’re not, again, it probably looks a bit petty from an optics point of view.

“It could force the royals to get in the room and work through their differences. If you want to force a group of people to sit down in a room and have a talk, this is a very good way to do that.”

Meanwhile, it is not yet known whether Meghan will accompany Harry during the 2027 Games.

She nearly always makes high-profile appearances during the event and she was last seen publicly in the UK at the late Queen’s funeral in 2022 – but the couple’s security situation in the UK may prove a stumbling block for the pair.

Shortly after returning from military service, BTS’ Jin announced ‘Run Jin,’ spin-off of ‘Run BTS’

Jin is playfully plotting to “kidnap” one of his BTS bandmates from military service, leaving the BTS ARMY in stitches.

Jin, whose real name is Kim Seok-jin, shared his amusing plan to whisk J-Hope away from his military base as soon as he is discharged to create content for his show Run Jin.

“I can kidnap Hope the moment he gets discharged and drag him to the filming site,” Jin, 31, jokingly revealed.

He expressed curiosity about how J-Hope, whose real name is Jung Ho-seok, would feel about this plan and even asked for his consent.

However, the oldest member pointed out that J-Hope, 30, doesn’t have a say in the matter since he has already decided to proceed with the idea.

“Actually, your thoughts on this aren’t important because kidnapping you is my decision,” Jin quipped.

The BTS ARMY seemed thrilled by Jin’s teaser to feature J-Hope, who is set to be released from military service within a month, in Run Jin.

“2seok are my bias wreckers. I can’t wait for the shenanigans they’ll create together once Hobi is discharged!” one fan commented.

“Jin is planning to make his brothers suffer like he has, lol,” another noted.

“Oh god, yaaaaaaah Jin, just kidnap our Hobi to do a ‘Run 2SEOK’ episode! The best idea in the world,” a third fan suggested.

Jin, discharged from military duties on June 12, mentioned to J-Hope how he started working and entertaining fans the day after his release.

Kate Winslet breaks cover after revealing medical condition

Kate Winslet made a stunning appearance at a recent historical event in Los Angeles, following her testosterone replacement treatment.

According to Daily Mail, the Titanic star was spotted for the History Channel’s HISTORYTalks at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures on September 21.

For the unversed, the HISTORYTalks event is a premier live speaker series that explores newsworthy topics and historical shows.

Moreover, the show’s organisers usually invite audiences to experience history-making conversations with trendsetters, global leaders, witnesses, authors and filmmakers.

However, The Mountain Between Us actress was also invited to the star-studded event as a guest speaker.

Kate donned a white three-quarter-sleeve jacket layered over a simple black top for the occasion.

Notably, the 48-year-old actress completed her look by pairing a shoulder-padded blazer with loose-fitted, white flared trousers.

It is important to note that the critically acclaimed actress made a public appearance just a few days after confessing to using Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) to boost her libido.

During her appearance at the How To Fail With Elizabeth Day podcast, the Hollywood icon shared her health sufferings and said, “Sometimes women have a real dip in libido because there might be stuff going on with their thyroid.”

“There could also be stuff going on with your level of testosterone,” she continued.

On the work front, Kate last appeared in the movie Lee, which was released on September 13, 2024, across cinemas.

Kim Kardashian’s latest prison visit sparks conversation on rehabilitation

Kim Kardashian, along with Khloé Kardashian, Kris Jenner, actor Cooper Koch, and film producer Scott Budnick, visited the Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility in San Diego County on Saturday to discuss prison reform.

The group met with approximately 40 inmates, including Lyle and Erik Menendez, who were convicted in 1996 for the murders of their parents.

Erik recently criticized Ryan Murphy’s Netflix series, Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, stating, “It is with a heavy heart that I say, I believe Ryan Murphy cannot be this naive and inaccurate about the facts of our lives so as to do this without bad intent.”

Erik’s statement, posted by his wife Tammi Menendez on social media, continued, “It is sad for me to know that Netflix’s dishonest portrayal of the tragedies surrounding our crime have taken the painful truths several steps backward — back through time to an era when the prosecution built a narrative on a belief system that males were not sexually abused, and that males experienced rape trauma differently than women.”

He added, “Those awful lies have been disrupted and exposed by countless brave victims over the last two decades who have broken through their personal shame and bravely spoken out. So now Murphy shapes his horrible narrative through vile and appalling character portrayals of Lyle and of me and disheartening slander.”

The Menendez case garnered widespread media attention in the early 1990s, with the brothers claiming they shot their parents after suffering years of sexual abuse.

The Skims mogul regularly visits prisons to learn about inmate rehabilitation programs and advocate for prison reform.

Earlier this year, Kim and Khloé visited two California prisons in Chowchilla.
