Coldplay, one of the globally recognized rock bands, has decided to retire soon after releasing their 12th studio album.

The vocalist of the band, Chris Martin, in conversation to Apple Music 1, said that it is time for them to part ways so that the other band musicians can get a chance to explore their personal space.

In a statement, Chris added: “We are only going to do 12 proper albums and that’s real.”

“Having that limit means the quality control is so high right now and for a song to make it, it’s almost impossible, which is great. And so where we could be coasting, we’re trying to improve.”

The Sky Full of Stars singer went on to say: “There’s only seven Harry Potters. There’s only 12 ½ Beatles’ albums, there’s about the same for Bob Marley, so all our heroes.”

“To make an album great as a band, it’s such a lot of wrangling of people, and I want to give the others some of their life for themselves”, Martin explained to People Magazine.

On the work front, Coldplay is gearing up for their upcoming concerts in India. The band will be performing there after eight years. The shows are all set to take place on January 18, 19,21 and 22 in 2025, reports News 18. 

Sabrina Carpenter is officially on the TIME100 Next 2024 List, with Christina Aguilera penning a sweet tribute for the young star.

People Magazine reported on Tuesday, October 2, that the 25-year-old pop sensation earned a coveted spot on the list — which celebrates rising stars across industries — along with a place on one of three covers for the issue officially out on October 4.

In a heartfelt tribute, Aguilera praised Carpenter’s undeniable talent, telling fans to “never underestimate the mighty power” behind her artistry.

“She proves great things come in small packages,” Aguilera, 43, wrote, recognising the Disney alum’s poise and strength in the industry.

Notably, Aguilera recently collaborated with Carpenter for a duet of the former’s 1999 song, What a Girl Wants, for her debut album’s 25th anniversary. The song, from Aguilera’s self-titled debut album, was released the same year Carpenter was born.

In the tribute, Aguilera praised Carpenter’s professionalism, writing “Sabrina handles the task with seemingly effortless ease and charisma while promoting, performing, and handling press with a smile and her signature coy charm.”

Carpenter’s latest milestone comes on the heels of her latest album, Short n’ Sweet, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, fueled by hits like Taste and Espresso.

The Grammy-winning artist is currently on her Short ‘n’ Sweet tour but will take a break to perform at the TIME100 Next event on Oct. 9 in New York City.

Princess Eugenie has broken her social media silence with a heartfelt tribute to her older sister, Princess Beatrice.

Earlier today, Buckingham Palace announced that 36-year-old Princess Beatrice is expecting her second child with husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. 

The couple are already parents to their three-year-old daughter, Sienna Mapelli Mozzi.

Edoardo also has a son from his previous relationship with American architect Dara Huang, whom he dated from 2015 to 2018.

The Palace confirmed the royal baby news in a statement that read: “Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are very pleased to announce that they are expecting their second child together in early spring; a sibling for Wolfie, aged eight, and Sienna, aged three.

“His Majesty The King has been informed and both families are delighted with the news.”

Princess Eugenie, 34, later took to her Instagram story to share in the excitement of the announcement.

She reposted the official statement from the Royal Family, adding a playful GIF for her followers.

Eugenie then followed up with two photos on her official Instagram page, capturing moments from a beach outing during Christmas 2022, where the sisters were joined by their husbands.

She captioned the post: “Congratulations Beabea.. So looking forward to more on this journey of motherhood together.

“And adding another little one to the gang.”

The princess later edited the post to add: “I couldn’t find a single group shot of us, so this one from Christmas 2022 will have to do. Xxxx”.

Eugenie’s Instagram post comes after her mother, Sarah Ferguson, also congratulated Beatrice on the royal baby news.

The Duchess of York issued the following statement: “Darling Beatrice. Words can’t quite express the joy and excitement I feel as you and Edo prepare to welcome another precious addition to your beautiful family.

“Becoming a granny again fills my heart with so much happiness and gratitude.

“Watching you grow as a mother has been one of the greatest privileges of my life, and now to see your family blossom further is an absolute blessing.

“Our family is growing, and so too is the love that surrounds us.

“I cannot wait to meet this little one and to share in all the wonderful memories we will make together. All my love.”

Beatrice married Edoardo on July 17, 2020, at the All Saints Chapel in Windsor. The couple welcomed their first child, Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi, in September of the following year.
