Hugh Grant jokes about Donald Trump’s acting career

Hugh Grant recently appeared on The Graham Norton Show to promote his upcoming movie, Heretic

When Donald Trump’s name came up, Grant joked, “He always wanted to be in my stuff.”

Grant recalled working with Trump on the 2002 romantic comedy Two Weeks Notice, alongside Sandra Bullock. “He played a bit part as himself,” Grant said.

However, Grant admitted he doesn’t remember Trump well.

“The night he came, I had a bet with Sandy that I could make the chairman of Warner Bros. cry by 9 p.m.,” Grant shared.

“And I was completely focused on that. It’s quite a big bet. She didn’t believe I could do it, but I did it.” The chairman was “in floods of tears” by 8:30 p.m.

Grant concluded, “So I’m afraid Donald Trump didn’t really register.”

When asked if Trump was nice to him, Grant replied, “All I remember is that a day or two afterward I got a call to say, ‘You’ve been made a member of Trump National New York,’ ” which Grant brushed off.

“I don’t remember him greatly as a person.”

Trump’s acting career includes cameos in Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, The Little Rascals, Sex and the City, Zoolander, and The Nanny

Director Chris Columbus shared that Trump required a cameo in Home Alone 2 to film at the Plaza Hotel.

“Trump said okay,” Columbus recalled. “We paid the fee, but he also said, ‘The only way you can use the Plaza is if I’m in the movie.’ ” Columbus added, “When we screened it for the first time, people cheered when Trump showed up on screen. So I said to my editor, ‘Leave him in the movie. It’s a moment for the audience.'”

Justin Bieber makes desperate move amid Sean Diddy allegations

Justin Bieber was caught off-guard leaving the storied Chateau Marmont over the weekend in Los Angeles amid Sean Diddy allegations.

Stressed Justin Bieber makes desperate bid to distract from Diddy drama

Fans couldn’t help but swoon over the Baby singer’s choice to wear the textured piece, which is a symbol of solidarity with Palestine.

Previously, Bieber had shared a pro-Israel post after the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023, but swiftly deleted it and has largely remained silent on the political issue.

According to reports, the singer is shutting out himself off from all the drama stemming from his connection with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs.

This comes after the sources close to the Never Say Never singer opened up to Daily Mail about his ‘close ties’ with the infamous rapper.

The insider stated that the newly-turned father “should have never been allowed to party with Diddy or anyone else when he was a teen.”

Justin has been ‘stressed’ after the hip-hop mogul was charged for sex trafficking and racketeering, and is reportedly focusing on fatherhood.

Prince William takes charge of Prince Andrew matter as monarch hesitates

Prince William is willing to take drastic step in Prince Andrew matter if the monarch is unwilling to do so.

The disgraced Duke of York is currently embroiled in a row his 30-room mansion with his brother King Charles, who is beginning to lose his patience.

Andrew was stripped off of his royal titles and patronages in 2019 by his mother Queen Elizabeth after allegations of sexual assault against him emerged while fingers were pointed over his friendship with convicted paedophile Jeffery Epstein.

However, the decision was not an easy one for Queen Elizabeth and neither the then-Prince Charles, per royal biographer Omid Scobie.

The author shared that it was actually William who “set the wheels in motion” after Andrew’s embarrassing Newsnight interview, via The Mirror.

“William was keenly aware that the horrific allegations,” Scobie wrote in his book. “The fallout from the embarrassing interview, and now the prospect of an out-of-court settlement involving money from the family’s private wealth were all damaging the monarchy’s reputation.”

Andrew was considered the late Queen’s favourite son, meanwhile, Charles openly despised his brother but didn’t want to be the one to take the major step.

Prince William and King Charles were apparently in a “lockstep” over the decision but William pushed for the Queen to become “the official face of Andrew’s reckoning.”

Even though several working members of the family wanted to see Andrew curtailed, neither Charles nor the Queen appeared ready to take him to task themselves,” Scobie shared.

“While Charles openly detested Andrew’s indiscretions, he didn’t want to be the one to break his younger brother.”

Meanwhile, palace insiders have revealed that King Charles has given Andrew two options: one, Andrew pays for his own lifestyle, the Lodge’s repairs and his own security.

The second option is that he shifts to Harry and Meghan’s old Windsor home, Frogmore Cottage. Moreover, Charles also hasn’t renewed the contracts of Andrew’s security that he was paying for.

It remains to be seen what the disgraced royal will be doing next given his limited options.

Palace issued new security warning for King Charles, Prince William

King Charles and his heir, Prince William, had to ditch some of their most expensive vehicles for a potential threat over their safety.

The monarch and the Prince of Wales have long supported causes meant for bettering the environment. They have even switched to electric cars while they are in the expansive Palace, to move around from once place to another.

However, a life-threatening risk emerged after it was discovered that the technology used in the cars in not completely safe for the royals.

“Electric cars are more vulnerable because they have more technology,” Robert Pritchard, who has briefed ministers and the late Queen Elizabeth on cyber issues, told The Sun.

“If the car is manufactured by a Chinese firm, then the Chinese government can probably get access to location data.”

Charles has been spotted driving the Eletre SUVs made by Norfolk-based Lotus, of which 51 per cent is Chinese-owned. Kate and William also have been loaned one similar car.

The King was even considering to drop his electric Audi after using the new car at Balmoral this summer. However, the tech is reportedly “more vulnerable to hackers” despite it self-drive function is disabled in the UK.

The hackers could not only track the vehicle’s location but can also take control of the wheel remotely.

A Buckingham Palace spokesman did not want to comment on the matter.

Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford announced their separation in May after 14 years of marriage

Eamonn Holmes’ animosity towards Phillip Schofield has intensified to the point where he expresses no regrets about his outbursts, which contributed to problems in his marriage to Ruth Langsford.

A source close to Eamonn, 64, revealed that he remains steadfast in his outspoken criticisms of Phillip, which reportedly left Ruth feeling dismayed towards the end of their relationship.

Ruth continues to be a regular fixture on the popular ITV show Loose Women, and sources indicate that she felt uncomfortable with her husband publicly voicing his grievances about the channel and expressing feelings of betrayal.

The couple announced their separation in May after 14 years of marriage, citing that work commitments had “taken their marriage in different directions.” Since then, Eamonn has been seen on holiday with his girlfriend, Katie Alexander.

The presenter has not held back in expressing his disdain for Phillip, leading to a feud that has been labeled one of the most significant in show business.

A source told MailOnline: ‘Eamonn’s dislike for Phillip existed for a long time, but it became very public at the end of his marriage to Ruth. And as his hatred for him and ITV grew, the cracks in their relationship grew deeper.

‘Ruth became a bit dismayed at Eamonn for making repeated digs at ITV after they were axed from This Morning.

‘Ruth wasn’t over the moon about it . But given she was still a cemented member of the Loose Women family, it made things somewhat awkward for her to have Eamonn criticising ITV.

‘But Eamonn loathes Phillip and has no regrets about what he said and certainly doesn’t think he threw him under the bus.

‘He doesn’t regret any of his behaviour; he believes he’s addicted to fame, and he can’t believe he’s attempted to relaunch himself with his documentary this week.

‘Eamonn is trying to move on with his life, and has no plans to ever make it up with Philip.’

But a source close to the presenter said it would be wrong to suggest his comments about Philip or ITV had anything to do with his marriage breaking down.
