Chris Pine talk about new writer for Star Trek 4

Chris Pine revealed that he had no idea if Star Trek 4 will hire a new writer.

The actor was surprised when news broke about the Max series The Flight Attendant creator Steve Yockey was hired to write the script for Star Trek 4

He told Business Insider during an interview on his Poolman press tour that he thought there was already a script.

Since the release of Star Trek Beyond in 2016, Star Trek 4 has undergone multiple revisions. In J.J. Abrams’ 2009 remake of the Star Trek franchise, Pine played Captain Kirk.

He then returned to the role in Star Trek Into Darkness (2013) and Beyond (2016).

Variety revealed in March that Paramount Pictures was still planning to produce a fourth Star Trek movie starring Chris Pine and his co-stars.

Zachary Quinto (as Cmdr. Spock), Zoe Saldaña (as Lt. Nyota Uhura), Karl Urban (as Dr. Leonard McCoy), John Cho (as Lt. Hikaru Sulu) and Simon Pegg (as chief engineer Montgomery Scott) are the star’s fellow cast members.

“I honestly don’t know,” Pine told Business Insider when asked what he knows on the progress of Star Trek 4 updates.

“There was something in the news of a new writer coming on board. I thought there was already a script, but I guess I was wrong, or they decided to pivot. As it’s always been with ‘Trek,’ I just wait and see.”

Elle King on ‘hurting’ Rob Schneider

Elle King opened up on the aftermath of the statements she made about her estranged father Rob Schneider a month ago.

“I never in a million years thought that that was going to go viral,” the 35-year-old country crooner told People on Thursday, in reference to the revelations she made about the actor, about him forgetting her birthdays and sending her back to a fat camp twice as a child.

“I was just speaking about my childhood and about my truth. I was not trying to hurt him.” she added.

In the statements, Elle, born Tanner Elle Schneider, remembered her summers with the 60-year-old comedian after the end of his two-year marriage to her mother London King in 1990, while he stayed always busy on movie sets.

“I was a really, really heavy child. It’s so awful. But like [fat camps were] where he sent me to,” King recounted on the Dumb Blonde podcast on August 12. “I went two summers in a row. I was 11 and 12.”

“I don’t want to be associated with him. He’s just not nice,” she said at the time.

Guns N’ Roses ex drummer, Steven Adler on drug abuse

Guns N’ Roses ex drummer, Steven Adler, who played for the band in the late 80’s, contributing to their ladder to fame, and later being fired for drug addiction, revealed why he did heroin in the first place.

“Who the hell do you think I was doing them with? When I started doing heroin, I wanted to be a part of what [G N’ R lead guitarist] Slash and [rhythm guitarist] Izzy [Stradlin] were doing,” he revealed in the third episode of Paramount+‘s new three-part docuseries Nöthin’ But a Good Time: The Uncensored Story of ’80s Hair Metal.

“I took two hits, I was never so sick in my whole life,” he said.

“And wouldn’t you know what an a—— I am, I had to try it one more time,” Adler continued. “And the third time was the charm. I fell in love with it.”

However, Adler’s addiction got him fired from the band, but this didn’t change anything for the musician.

“I’ve always loved the whole team thing,” he said. “That’s why putting a band together was so important to me, where we work together and create something.”

“And then when my team threw me out, I didn’t know what to do. I know I could either have gotten better, or continued doing what I was doing. I continued doing what I was doing. I was that hurt.”
