Priscilla Presley’s ex Michael Edwards denies Lisa Marie Presley molestation claims

Priscilla Presley’s ex Michael Edwards has refuted the allegations made by Lisa Marie Presley in her posthumous memoir, From Here to the Great Unknown.

In the memoir, Lisa, who died on 12th January, 2023, and published her life story with the help of her daughter Riley Keough, detailed how her mother Priscilla Presley’s boyfriend Michael Edwards, who she dated for seven years, allegedly molested her when she was 10 years old.

However, Michael, now 80, debunked all the accusations made against him and complained why no one from the publishers contacted him for a comment on the memoir.

“I’m in shock, that’s untrue…I was like a father to Lisa Marie,” he told Page Six.

On the other hand, Michael, who starred in hits like Mommie Dearest and Terminator 2, released his own memoir back in 1988 titled Priscilla, Elvis and Me, in which he shared his life experience with Priscilla and then 9-year-old Lisa, and detailed on the “sick” feelings he started getting for Lisa while she was growing up.

“Priscilla’s fears had been justified all along,” Michael wrote about how those feelings led to the end of his relationship with Priscilla .

“My love for Lisa always bordered on intimacy. As Lisa grew to a young woman it was a constant battle for me to keep my feelings in the proper perspective.”

Daisy Edgar-Jones is starring as Elizabeth Bennet in new series, says report

Daisy Edgar-Jones is said to be excited to channel her inner Kiera Knightley as she has geared up for her next role.

Kiera Knightley played the role of Elizabeth Bennet in the 2005 adaptation of Jane Austen’s classic Pride & Prejudice. The novel has had multiple renditions for the big screen over the years but the 2005 version remains a big hit.

However, since the 1995 TV adaptation with Colin Firth, the book has not been adapted for TV. Now, a Daily Mail report suggests that a new adaptation is in the works.

The new version is reportedly set to be a Netflix series, casting Daisy Edgar-Jones as Elizabeth Bennet, who is the protagonist of the book.

Dolly Alderton, who recently wrote the TV adaptation of her memoir Everything I Know About Love, is seemingly working on the script for the romance drama.

For the unversed, Daisy Edgar-Jones appeared in Normal People, the TV adaptation of Sally Rooney’s bestselling novel, opposite Paul Mescal. The show earned her Golden Globe and BAFTA nominations. After the series’ success she has appeared in psychological thriller Fresh, crime drama Under The Banner Of Heaven, romance drama On Swift Horses, and mystery thriller Where The Crawdads Sing.

The streaming giant is yet to announce the new Pride & Prejudice TV series, but it is expected to be released by the end of next year.

Andrew Garfield recalls feeling ‘too old’ for ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’

Andrew Garfield never felt that The Amazing Spider-Man was his “way”, until he got the lead role.

During a recent appearance on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Andrew Garfield reflected on his experience auditioning for the role of Peter Parker/Spider-Man in The Amazing Spider-Man.

“I did the first audition and thought that’s that. I’m too old. I felt I was too told,” Garfield said. “Just generally I was like I am 25 or 26 and playing a high schooler. I know I got good genes and all but I don’t know. That’s not going my way. I was surprised to be given an opportunity to screen test.”

“Greta gave me an acting adjustment: You have to treat this screen test as if you’re making a short film with all your high school friends,” he credited his acting coach Greta Seacat for helping him nab Spider-Man.

“That allowed me to go f*ck it,” he continued.

“Keep the channel open. Be free. This doesn’t matter. Treat this like it doesn’t f*cking matter. That’s when whatever talent you do have can just be there. You’re a child again. You’re emotionally available and you’re not tight and trying to get it right. I remember that feeling of ‘I don’t give a f*ck.’”
