Prince Harry, who has been in long-running fight with the UK Home Office over his security detail, received a brutal snub as Taylor Swift gets thrown into the mix.

Reports emerged earlier this week that the 14-time Grammy winner was granted a privilege that the Duke of Sussex has been battling to get ever since his security was downgraded in 2020, after stepping down from his senior royal position.

A report by DailyMail suggest that the “reluctant” Metropolitan Police was pressed by Home Secretary Yvette Cooper and London Mayor Sadiq Khan to ensure the popstar received the taxpayer-funded blue-light convoy to her Wembley gigs in August.

The service is reserved for top politicians and royalty only but Swift was allegedly granted an exception, following a foiled terror attack in Vienna, Austria.

A former officer of the MET, John O’ Connor told the outlet that the police should be independent in its decision making.

“The Met is unable to provide security for Prince Harry but he must be in at least as much danger as Taylor Swift,” he said.

Meanwhile, a MET spokesperson said, “The Met is operationally independent. Our decision-making is based on a thorough assessment of threat, risk and harm and circumstances of each case.”

Commenting on the matter, Daily Mail’s Diary Editor, Richard Eden pointed out that “Taylor Swift achieves what #PrinceHarry failed to do….”

The report comes just six months following Prince Harry’s loss against the High Court challenge against the Home Office after losing his right to police protection.

HYBE is facing backlash from BTS ARMY after their five-word statement regarding Jungkook’s absence from the 2024 Super Bowl.

According to Koreaboo, on October 9, the entertainment company managing BTS and Jungkook responded to criticism about their handling of the global star’s career with a terse comment to Ilgan Sports.

“We have nothing to say,” this only intensified fans’ frustration rather than alleviating it.

Upon hearing this response, the BTS fandom quickly expressed outrage, criticising the label for its lack of communication.

“Just quit the entertainment business, seriously,” one fan wrote.

“If Jungkook had declined, they would have used him for media coverage. Instead, HYBE failed to inform him,” another added.

Fans from other fandoms also joined in to highlight the issue.

“Even though I’m not a fan, it’s such a shame. The Super Bowl doesn’t just invite artists based on their Billboard or Grammy status; timing is crucial. If Jungkook’s solo career had aligned, the synergy could have been massive,” one commented.

“Didn’t they claim to have a hundred staff dedicated to BTS? If that many people messed up, I’d be furious. I’m from another fandom, but HYBE really screwed up on this one,” another remarked.

For the unversed, in late 2023, Jungkook dropped a collaboration of his song Standing Next to You with Usher.

Reports suggested they would perform together at the Super Bowl Halftime Show; however, Jungkook, 30, could not attend due to his military service.

Fans’ outrage has primarily focused on HYBE’s mismanaging the global star, further escalating with their rough response.

Meghan Markle, who appears to be a thorn in the royal family’s eye, was once considered to be a treasured asset before everything went downhill.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped down from their senior royal positions in 2020 to carve out a new independent role to support the royal family, whilst settling in the US.

However, royal experts, who have observed the royals in close proximity, suggest that Meghan was a huge asset to the royal before everything changed drastically after her first year of marriage to Prince Harry.

“The first year with Meghan she was fantastic. I travelled everywhere with them,” royal photographer Arthur Edwards told The Sun.

“She was a star, engaging with the public, doing everything you’d expect a lady married into the royal family to do. Then suddenly, everything changed.”

Edwards also remarked about the changes he noted in Harry following his relationship with the former Suits actress.

He shared that Harry “used to be so much fun” during public engagements,” as he recalled the spontaneous way he hugged the Jamaican Prime Minister Portia Simpson-Miller in 2012.

The photographer also shared some funny antics he pulled and his relationship with the press and so it came as a shock when he cut off all ties.

“He used to say ‘I’ll do everything I can to make it good for you, and that’s what shocked me when he just cut us all dead, that one time up in Manchester,” Edwards said.

“I’ll never forget and I was shocked and it was just the day he met Meghan or the day he fell in love with Meghan, and it’s all changed since then. I feel sad about that because he was a fabulous person to work with.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may surprise fans with their important decision amid reports of the Duke’s UK plan.

The Duke of Sussex, who reunited with his family after ending a temporary separation, is said to be ready to hold ‘crunch talks’ with his wife Meghan Markle.

Royal sources have claimed that King Charles’ younger son Harry will sit down with their US-based team to thrash out a “new strategy” following Harry’s successful solo trip abroad.

It emerges after Harry’s returned to California following a three-week tour of New York City, London and Lesotho.

The Sussexes are still focused on moving forward as a unit but will undertake more solo engagements to highlight their own interests amid reports of Harry’ UK plans as he wants to spend time with his royal relatives.

“Harry is back in California this week, and a debrief is expected following his travels. There’s a lot to discuss so the team has been summoned for a meeting toward the end of the week,” insiders told The Express.

“The success of Harry’s solo endeavours has shown that a new strategy might be needed.”

There’s also speculation that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are locking horns over Christmas plans. The Duke wants to spend the festive with his royal relatives in the UK with hopes of reconnecting with sister-in-law Kate Middleton.

On the other hand, Meghan does not seem to be inspired of her husband’s idea as she’s firmly advocating for a California Christmas.
