Olivia Munn on not being able to go through ‘mom wraps’

Olivia Munn still hasn’t figured out one common mom-hack.

On Sunday, October 6, the X-Men: Apocalypse star, posted a video on Instagram asking fellow mothers for tips on properly using a baby wrap.

In the video, she explained how she wanted to ensure her 3-week-old daughter, Méi, could be safely close to her chest while walking around.

“I know I’m doing this wrong, which is why I’m not letting her go,” Munn started the video, which featured her standing in her kitchen looking casual in a white T-shirt and glasses and holding Méi in a patterned wrap.

“But I have wanted to do one of these mom wraps since Malcolm was a baby, but I could never figure it out. It’s so difficult,” she continued, talking about the couple’s 2-year-old son.

“If you don’t know what this is, it’s a big, long cloth that you wrap around and it holds your baby tight to you and you can be hands-free — but I just can’t figure it out.”

Munn praised mothers who have mastered the skill, calling them “queens,” and admitted she’s still on the lookout for the best tutorial to help her securely wrap her daughter.

“This is so difficult. It’s more difficult than origami,” she continued. “It is so crazy. I don’t know how to do this. I’ve watched every YouTube, Instagram, TikTok. And moms will tell you that it’s not difficult but it is. It’s so hard.”

Some mom-fans offered help.

“Is there a sling/wrap library near you?” one came to help in the comments section. “I went to one and the ladies helped me to figure it out and showed me different options. If you struggle with the wrap, you could always use a carrier. You can find ones suitable for newborns and they are very easy to use.”

Celine Dion surprises football fans

Celine Dion had a surprise planned for football fans.

Following her unforgettable appearance at the Paris Olympics, Dion now decided to delight sports enthusiasts in Pittsburgh.

The five-time Grammy winner brought a wave of nostalgia by revisiting one of her 1996 hits, and donning a vintage Super Bowl XXX sweatshirt during a surprise cameo in Sunday Night Football’s opening sequence.

The highly anticipated matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and Pittsburgh Steelers was broadcast on NBC and streamed on Peacock, making Dion’s unexpected feature all the more special.

“I think my favorite thing about this game is its power to connect who we are to who we were, to prove our most powerful memories, our most enduring loves can stay with us forever. You know what I’m talking about, right?” she began while her famous 1996 ballad It’s All Coming Back to Me Now played.

“Sometimes, some nights, it all just comes back,” added Dion. “The love affair. Well, maybe not ‘love’ the way I usually sing about it. But still… work with me here.”

“I mean, ‘When you touch me like this, when you hold me like that.’ It kinda fits, no? But really, what beautiful passion it produced, what painful heartbreak it revealed, so, so long ago. Like so many old flames, it always feels right when they’re back together. Don’t you think?”

“Like tonight, evoking the kind of magic they once produced. The Cowboys and the Steelers, a timeless classic on Sunday Night,” Dion ended her message.

The NFL game on Sunday is the Cowboys and Steelers’ first meeting in primetime since 1982 and their first on NBC since the Cowboys’ victory in Super Bowl XXX in 1996, which ended in a 27-17 victory.

In Super Bowl X (21-17) in 1976 and Super Bowl XIII (35-31) in 1979, the Steelers had already defeated Dallas.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ mother comes to disgraced son’s defence

Sean “Diddy” Combs’ mom defends son

Sean “Diddy” Combs’ mother, Janice Combs, spoke up in defence of the music mogul, who is facing trial for sex trafficking and racketeering, in addition to numerous sexual assault allegations.

“It is heartbreaking to see my son judged not for the truth, but for a narrative created out of lies,” she said in the statement, which Page Six obtained from her legal team, the Law Office of Natlie G. Figgers, on Sunday.

“To bear witness what seems to be like a public lynching of my son before he has had the opportunity to prove his innocence is a pain too unbearable to put into words. Like every human being, my son deserves to have his day in court, to finally share his side, and to prove his innocence.”

“I am not here to portray my son as perfect because he is not. He has made mistakes in his past, as we all have,” she continued in the statement.

“My son may not have been entirely truthful about certain things, such as denying he has ever gotten violent with an ex-girlfriend when the hotel’s surveillance showed otherwise.”

Janice also shared her thoughts on why she believes Diddy chose to settle with Cassie out of court in November 2023.

“Sometimes, the truth and a lie become so closely intertwined that it becomes terrifying to admit one part of the story, especially when that truth is outside the norm or is too complicated to be believed,” Diddy’s mother said.

“This is why I believe my son’s civil legal team opted to settle the ex-girlfriend’s lawsuit instead of contesting it until the end, resulting in a ricochet effect as the federal government used this decision against my son by interpreting it as an admission of guilt.”

The mother also addressed the numerous allegations that came forward after the lawsuits.

“Not being entirely straightforward about one issue does not mean my son is guilty of the repulsive allegations and the grave charges leveled against him,” Janice said.

“Many individuals who were wrongfully convicted and later exonerated had their freedom taken from them not because they were guilty of the crimes they were accused of, but because they didn’t fit the image of what this society considers to be a ‘good person.’ History has showed us how individuals can be wrongfully convicted due to their past actions or mistakes.”

Madonna on brother Christopher Ciccone’s death

Madonna paid a tribute to her late brother Christopher Ciccone after he died battling cancer at the age of 63 on Friday.

“My brother Christopher is gone,” the Material Girl hitmaker began a lengthy caption over a post, taking to her Instagram page on Sunday. “He was the closest human to me for so long. Its [sic] hard to explain our bond.”

“But it grew out of an understanding that we were different and society was going to give us a hard time for not following the status quo.”

“We took each other‘s hands and we danced through the madness of our childhood

In fact dance was a kind of superglue that held us together. Discovering Dance in our small Midwestern town saved me and then my brother came along, and it saved him too,” she added.

“My ballet Teacher, also named Christopher- created a safe space for my brother to be Gay. a word that was not spoken or even whispered where we lived. When I finally got the courage to go to New York to become a Dancer. My brother followed. And again we took each other’s hands, and we danced through the madness of New York City!” the Queen of Pop continued.

“We devoured Art and Music And Film like hungry animals we were in the epicenter of all of these things exploding. We danced through the madness of the AIDS epidemic. We went to funerals and we cried, and we went dancing. We danced together on stage in the beginning of my career and eventually, he became the Creative Director, of many tours. When it came to good taste, my brother was the Pope, and you had to kiss the ring to get his blessing.”

Further continuing, she wrote, “We defied the Roman Catholic Church, The Police, the Moral Majority and all Authority figures that got in the way of Artistic freedom! My brother was right by my side.”

“He was a painter a poet and a visionary. I admired him. He had impeccable taste. And a sharp tongue, Which he sometimes used against me but I always forgave him. We soared the highest heights together And floundered in the lowest lows. Somehow, we always found each other again and We held hands and we kept dancing,” the 66-year-old popstar shared.

“The last few years have not been easy We did not speak for sometime but When my brother got sick. We found our way back to each other. I did my best to keep him alive as long as possible. He was in so much pain towards the end Once again, we held hands We closed our eyes and we danced.”

“Together. I’m glad he’s not suffering anymore. There will never be anyone like him. I know he’s dancing somewhere,” Madonna concluded her tribute.

Ciccone’s representative shared with Page Six that he passed away peacefully in Michigan, surrounded by his loved ones, including his husband Ray Thacker and other family members.

Laura Dern on making decisions with Reese Witherspoon

Laura Dern makes sure there’s no decision she makes without Reese Witherspoon’s advice.

During a panel discussion at Hello Sunshine’s Shine Away event in Los Angeles on Saturday, Oct. 5, the Oscar-winning actress, 57, opened up about the impact of her professional network on her career choices.

She highlighted that one of the most influential people in her circle is Reese Witherspoon.

Reflecting on her upbringing in the entertainment industry, with actor parents Bruce Dern and Diane Ladd, the Jurassic Park star shared a key lesson from her mentors.

“What I learned from the four or five women who raised me who were actresses, who then became writers or producers or directors, was that there was no community, there was no inside without each other,” she explained.

“And that sisterhood drove them,” she continued. “Jane Fonda being one, along with my mother and an amazing group of women who decided they had to be the storytellers to be in the story at all, and they are true pioneers that led us to understand that.”

“So I felt so lucky to have that lens and then to find sisterhood on this stage, and basically I run everything by Reese,” she admitted. “From my romantic life all the way to what jobs I should do.”

Before she could add anything else, Witherspoon, 48, who was also on the panel alongside Octavia Spencer, jumped in to share a recent story.

Witherspoon humorously teased that she and Dern had recently combined their networks for a project that wasn’t career-focused, but more personal, just a few days earlier.

“We produced a barbecue last week,” the Legally Blonde star said, as Dern seconded, “We did. It was amazing.”
