Selena Gomez’s mother got candid on how she has to skip some public fun because of her daughter’s fame, which they used to do in the past, before all the glamour.

“We used to go to Target and just hang out at Target and just shop and do silly things, but you can’t do that anymore,” Mandy Teefey opened up to Glamour in an interview for 2024 Women of the Year issue.

The “Wondermind” co-founder and CEO also recounted how she and Gomez have had to sneak into Disneyland since her daughter’s stardom, and can’t use the public entrance.

“You have to go in the back where all the mechanical things are, and you don’t really get to go through the park. You do miss out on that,” the 48-year-old explained the experience.

Big names, like Beyoncé’s mother Tina Knowles, also shared what the songstress’ daughters have to let go of because of all the public recognition.

“I miss us going to the grocery store, going with my kids to eat at the cafeteria. You don’t get to go to the mall anymore,” said in the interview, which mainly focused on mothers who have raised the stars of the current era.

Prince William shared the reason behind his absence from the Paris Olympic Games and Princess Kate’s absence. 

During a visit to Birtley Community Pool to celebrate its reopening and emphasise the importance of swimming access, the Prince of Wales, 42, discussed the Royal Foundation’s initiatives with professional swimmers Adam Peaty and Tom Dean. 

He explained that at the time of the Olympics, Kate was still receiving her course of preventative chemotherapy. Additionally, Prince William was concerned about the possibility of bringing Covid-19 home to his wife, as chemotherapy can weaken immunity levels.

Dean asked the prince: “Did you manage to get out there [to Paris]?”

William responded: “No I was so keen to come but I have to say after reading someone’s interview about Covid [looking at Adam Peaty – who tested positive during the games] I decided, because my wife was obviously having chemo, that I didn’t want to risk bringing Covid home, so Adam very kindly reminded me that that was still a thing! But we watched the whole thing. We were glued to it every day.”

Several other members of the Royal Family attended the Olympics, including Princess Anne, Timothy Laurence, Prince Edward, and the Duchess of Edinburgh.

Recently, Kate shared an emotional video announcing that she had completed her course of chemotherapy. The film featured footage of her enjoying family time with her husband and children in Norfolk.

In her message, the Princess of Wales emphasized that the “path to healing and full recovery is long” and that she must “take each day as it comes” as she prepares to return to public duties.

The video, filmed in the picturesque woods and along the beaches of Norfolk, was recognised as a “groundbreaking moment” in how the Royal Family manages its public image. 

Shot by filmmaker Will Warr over the summer, it was released by Kensington Palace in September and accompanied by the princess’s heartfelt audio message, in which she confirmed her plans to resume a light schedule of public engagements following the completion of her chemotherapy.

In the months after her abdominal surgery at the beginning of the year, speculation about Kate’s health grew as she was not seen in public. 

Ultimately, she delivered an emotional video message to the nation in March, revealing that she was undergoing chemotherapy after post-operative tests indicated the presence of cancerous cells.

Jennifer Aniston had a special connection with the late Kris Kristofferson, who passed away at the age of 88 on September 28, 2024.

During her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the 55-year-old actress grew emotional while recalling her experience working with the legendary actor, specifically on her directorial debut in which Kristofferson starred.

The Morning Show star revealed that when she reached out to Kristofferson to appear in her first short film, his wife mentioned that the couple had just been binge-watching Friends.

“We had this moment. It was adorable,” Aniston recalled fondly.

The Emmy-winning actress described directing him in her short film, where he portrayed an older man saying goodbye to his wife during her final days, “one of the most special experiences I’ve ever had.”

“He broke our hearts,” she said, recalling his performance. “He was extraordinary. Really. What a kind man,” she added.

Aniston and Kristofferson also worked together on He’s Just Not That Into You, where he portrayed Aniston’s father alongside a star-studded cast that included Ben Affleck and Drew Barrymore.

Jennifer Hudson has gotten word that her boyfriend Common wants to marry her.

After the rapper declared his intentions in front of the world, Hudson, 43, playfully confronted Common, 52, during his October 3rd appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show.

Receipts ready, Hudson cheekily asked him about his statement. “I heard you’ve been out there talking about marriage. What’s that about? I just happened to notice that” she said, clearly amused.

Common didn’t backtrack, responding with sincerity.

“You told me a quote that your mother said, ‘A man knows what he wants,’” he recalled. “I was saying my true feelings… If I should be married, it will be to Jennifer Kate Hudson. I was just being honest”

Earlier in July, Common opened up during an interview with The Breakfast Club about his relationship with Hudson, calling it “really healthy and beautiful.” He even mentioned that if he were to get married, it would be to her.

The couple first sparked dating rumours in August 2022, and later confirmed their relationship on Hudson’s show in January.
