Rachel Zegler criticizes Hollywood, voices concerns over AI and toxic ‘Disney adults’

Rachel Zegler expresses fear of AI replacing actors.

Rachel Zegler didn’t mince words as she voiced her concerns about fame and the growing challenges in Hollywood, including the rise of artificial intelligence.

In a candid interview with Variety, the 23-year-old Golden Globe winner shared why “being famous isn’t for the faint of heart.”

The West Side Story star, who skyrocketed to fame after beating out 30,000 actresses for the role of María Vasquez in Steven Spielberg’s 2021 adaptation, has faced intense criticism, including racist backlash over her casting as Snow White in Disney’s 2025 live-action remake and trolling over her political views.

“The reason I fell in love with this industry is not because of this town,” Zegler said of Los Angeles.

“In fact, I kind of can’t stand this town. I don’t like that there’s a town built around the industry that I work in; it’s stifling and isolating and weird. In New York, nobody gives a f**k.”

Reflecting on the racist backlash she faced after being cast as Snow White, Rachel Zegler remained firm in her stance, saying she doesn’t try to understand why “Disney adults” would have an issue with a Latina actress portraying the beloved princess.

In a recent interview, she revealed changes to the iconic line about her character’s “skin as white as snow” in the 2025 live-action remake. Zegler shared that this line will now reference a different version of Snow White’s story.

In this adaptation, the character survives a snowstorm as a baby, and her parents, the king and queen, name her Snow White to symbolize her resilience.

“One of the core points in our film for any young woman or young person is remembering how strong you actually are,” the actress explained.

Jax Taylor makes shocking claims about marriage to Brittany Cartwright.

Jax Taylor has shocked everyone with new legal claims about his marriage to Brittany Cartwright.

In his response to his ex’s divorce filing, obtained by E! News on October 2, the Vanderpump Rules alum checked a box acknowledging his marriage to Brittany, with whom he shares a 3-year-old son, Cruz.

However, he also marked a separate box stating, “Respondent contends that the parties never legally married or registered in a domestic partnership.”

In the “Statistical Facts” section of his filing, Jax noted in pen that the couple got married on June 29, 2019, and listed their separation date as September 26, 2024, the same day he submitted his response.

However, there appeared to be an error when the document asked for the “time from date of marriage to date of separation.” Instead of the correct time frame of five years and two months, Jax mistakenly wrote down four years and six months.

Brittany had stated the same period in her divorce documents, entering Jan. 24, 2024 as the date of the split.

One interesting point in their divorce filings is that Brittany requested the court to terminate both her and Jax’s right to spousal support. On the other hand, Jax selected the option for “future determination” of spousal support to Brittany in his filing.

Henry Winkler was sure of Robin Williams’ successful future the moment he saw him auditioning for Happy Days.

During the October 1 episode of the Fake Doctors, Real Friends with Zach and Donald* podcast, the 78-year-old actor shared his experience of sitting in on auditions for the role of Mork, a Martian visiting Earth, after the original actor left the show.

“When Robin came to audition, now it’s Wednesday. We start Monday morning at 10 o’clock on the soundstage. That is at, 9 o’clock, we read. 10 o’clock, we’re on the soundstage,” Winkler started reminiscing. “Nobody wanted to play this alien from outer space.”

“And then this human being picked up the script. When he opened his mouth, it was like a volcano went off on stage 19 at Paramount.”

“And I knew, get out of his way, know my lines, and don’t try to stand toe to toe with this genius that is now standing in front of me,” he added.

Williams first appeared as Mork, the alien from Ork, in season 5, episode 22 of Happy Days.

The episode, titled My Favorite Orkan, follows Richie (played by Ron Howard) as he struggles to convince everyone that he saw a UFO and met an alien named Mork, who wants to take him back to Ork as a specimen of the average human.
