Phillip Schofield’s emotional confession amid ‘This Morning’ scandal

Phillip Schofield is set to make his TV comeback with a new show on Channel 5, Phillip Schofield: Cast Away, after stepping down from ITV’s This Morning in May 2023.

A trailer for the special reveals Schofield’s emotional reflection on his scandal.

“I’ve been cast away on a desert island completely on my own. All I have is camera gear, I can say whatever I want about whoever I want,” Schofield says.

He then addresses his past actions, “It’s my chance to tell my side of my story. I know what I did was unwise, but is it enough to absolutely destroy someone?”

In the program, Schofield will spend 10 days stranded on a tropical island in Madagascar, documenting his experiences and reflecting on the past two years.

A source shared, “Over the past few months Phil has had quite a few offers for various things – but has steadfastly turned them all down. This sort of challenge has always appealed to him though and after consulting with friends and family, he decided to go for it.”

The source added, “It’s all been top secret, and has been an incredibly quick turnaround in order to keep the news quiet. With 10 days to himself, no camera crews or production around, he shot some unbelievably raw footage – some of it makes for tough, emotional viewing. But he wanted a chance to share his story, unedited and honest, and let viewers see another side to him.”

Despite his return to TV, the source notes Schofield is “still bruised” and not rushing back to his former career.

Lisa Marie Presley’s memoir reveals childhood fears of losing Elvis

Lisa Marie Presley’s memoir, From Here to the Great Unknown, shares her experiences growing up as Elvis Presley’s daughter.

In an excerpt from People magazine’s cover story, Lisa Marie recalls, “I was always worried about my dad dying. Sometimes I’d see him and he was out of it. Sometimes I would find him passed out. I wrote a poem with the line, ‘I hope my daddy doesn’t die.'”

She fondly remembers attending Elvis’ concerts, “Going to his shows was my favorite thing in the world. I was so proud of him. He would take me by the hand and bring me out onstage, then get walked to wherever his place was on the stage, and I would be taken from him and brought to wherever I was going to be sitting in the audience. Usually with [Elvis’ father] Vernon.”

Lisa Marie describes the electrifying atmosphere, “The electricity of those shows. There’s nothing I’ve felt that’s been even close to that feeling, ever. Electrifying is such a generic word, but it really is what it felt like. I loved watching him perform. I had certain songs that I liked — ‘Hurt,’ and ‘How Great Thou Art.’ I would ask him to sing those songs for me and he would always say yes.”

After struggling with drug abuse as a teenager, Lisa Marie found stability through motherhood, “I fell in love with being a mom. I realised I had been called to care for something else.”

Her memoir, completed by daughter Riley Keough from recorded memories, releases on October 8.

George and Amal Clooney are making plans to mark 10th wedding anniversary

George Clooney wore his heart on his sleeve for wife Amal during a recent appearance with his wife, Amal Clooney, at The Albies ceremony in New York City.

Speaking with People on September 26, George, fresh off his role in Wolfs alongside Brad Pitt, couldn’t help but praise Amal, a lawyer and human rights activist.

As the power couple made a glamorous entrance at the event of the organisation The Clooney Foundation for Justice, founded in 2016, George, 63, highlighted his support for Amal, 46.

“I would support anything my wife is involved in,” he said on the red carpet. “She’s always on the right side of history, and I’m always so proud to be in the same room with her no matter what and this is an event where we get to focus all the attention on the people who don’t get enough attention.”

Dasha opens up on ‘fame’ after 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards nominations

Dasha seems to have figured it out.

“It’s been up and down these past few months, I have had to learn how to balance my mental health as a human mixed with being an artist,” the Austin hitmaker told People on the red carpet of the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards on Thursday, Sept. 26.

“I’ve had a pretty busy schedule and I’ve had to learn, ‘Oh, I need to make time to go play pickleball and go ride my horses because that’s just as important as going and writing that song,’” the 24-year-old added. “It really is for this to be a lifelong career.”

The Talk of the Town songstress talked about understanding that she needs to “prioritize [her] heart and my health and my soul.”

“I’ve learned that you’re still a person at the end of the day,” she said. “You can’t let yourself get lost in the image.”

However, Dasha is grateful for everything that played out, and gushed over her “surreal” appearance at the award show.

“Honestly, a year ago, if you told me that I’d be standing at the Opry attending the People’s Choice [Country] Awards with five nominations under my belt, I would tell you that you’re lying to me. I’m just so grateful to the country community and to all the fans here,” Dasha gushed.
