Princess Anne praised for making life-changing decision about Zara Tindall

Former royal butler Grant Harrold, who worked closely with Charles from 2004 to 2011, has shared interesting things about Princess Anne’s personality.

The King’s former aide went on saying: “She’s exactly what you see in public, there’s not really a different side to her.”

He added: “She’s a hard worker, and is a very down-to-earth, normal person – she didn’t even want her children to have royal titles.

Zara Tindall, Princess Anne’s daughter, previously shared her gratitude for her mother’s decision on Seven: Rob Burrow, The Total Sport Podcast, saying: “From my point of view, I was obviously very lucky that my mother didn’t give us any titles so I really commend her on that.

Mike Tindall’s sweet wife went on showering praising on her mother’s life-changing decision about her daughter: “We were very lucky that we got to do it a bit our own way.”

On the other hand, Harrold also gushed over the Princess Royal, admiring: “She’s as modern a Royal as you can get, and behind closed doors she’s just like everyone else. She’s a real family person and loves her animals.”

Charles and the late Princess Diana gave sons Prince William and Prince Harry titles, while Andrew and ex-wife Sarah Ferguson did the same with daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie. Edward and wife Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, however, styled their children’s names as Lady Louise Windsor and James, Earl of Wessex.

James discovers heartwarming connection: His late dog knew his wife was pregnant

James Middleton believes that his late dog sensed his wife’s pregnancy before passing away last year.

The brother of Princess Kate shared how his cocker spaniel, Ella, served as an “emotional crutch” during his struggles with depression, reported GB News.

In his latest book, Meet Ella, James discusses the profound impact of his dog’s death in 2023 on him and his family.

The 37-year-old recalls how Ella inadvertently brought him together with his now-wife, Alizee Thevenet, when the dog wandered over to her in a bar in Chelsea, London.

He also suggests that Ella had an intuition about Alizee’s pregnancy with their son, Inigo, who was born in October 2023.

“Dogs have this fantastic sort of intuition,” James told People.

“They know things before we do. I’m sort of absolutely certain that she knew that my wife was pregnant. And that in times of timing, now is the time to slip off, so to speak.”

The entrepreneur, who runs ethical dog food company James & Ella, recalled other ways his late pet aided him during his darkest days.

James said when he saw Ella on one evening in 2017, it helped him turn away from his suicidal thoughts.

“An ambition [of mine] is to get dogs to be on a prescription from doctors, because I think there is an undeniable amount of things that dogs can do for us,” he said.

The author, whose book is released in the US on September 24, added that dogs can get “us up in the morning and outside.

“It’s incredible what it can do for us if you don’t mentally want to do it, but you’re doing it for something else”.

James said his family now talk more openly about their mental health.

“We have a lot to learn from dogs, which is that they live every day as today. They’re not thinking about yesterday,” he shared.

“They’re not annoyed about yesterday or worrying about the future. They’re living in the moment.

“If we all focus on that a little bit more then I think we will be happier.”

James Middleton reveals life lessons he’s learned from his beloved dogs.

James Middleton knows firsthand the profound joy and support a dog can bring to its owner.

In his deeply personal new memoir, Meet Ella, the younger brother of Princess Kate pens a heartfelt tribute to his late cocker spaniel, Ella, who passed away last year.

The memoir goes beyond being a simple love letter, highlighting how Ella became an emotional lifeline for Middleton during his darkest moments.

James has been open about his battle with depression and reveals that one fateful night in 2017, the sight of Ella helped steer him away from suicidal thoughts.

Speaking to PEOPLE, Middleton passionately advocates for the therapeutic power of dogs, saying, “One of my ambitions is to have dogs prescribed by doctors. There’s an undeniable amount of healing they offer.”

He explains how dogs can motivate us even when we feel paralyzed by despair. “They get us up in the morning and outside.

Even if mentally you can’t do it for yourself, you’re doing it for them—and it’s incredible what that can do.”

Meet Ella: The Dog Who Saved My Life hits U.S. shelves on Sept. 24, and James Middleton is opening up about how his beloved dog changed his life—and how she inspired his family to talk more openly about their mental health.

In an interview with PEOPLE, Middleton reflects on the wisdom we can all learn from our four-legged companions.

“Dogs live every day as if it’s today. They don’t dwell on the past or worry about the future. They live in the moment,” he says. “If we could adopt that mindset, I believe we’d all be a lot happier.”
