Angelina Jolie ‘kept’ her distance from award shows since her split: Source

Angelina Jolie has been avoiding award shows after her divorce from Brad Pitt in 2016.

A source spilled to In Touch, “After her split from Brad, she’s kept her distance.”

“She’s never been a big Hollywood schmoozer,” remarked an insider.

The source however revealed that Angelina “has been making her presence on the scene very felt,” after rumours that her Maria Callas biopic, Maria, could be nominated for an Academy Award.

The source also mentioned that Brad “finds it annoying for the possibility of having to run into Angelina”.

“What really bugs him is the idea that she’s marching around town like she’s the queen bee,” continued an insider.

The source noted, “Brad’s pretty accustomed to being the toast of awards season every year, thanks to his production company, Plan B, that always manages to win something, but what he isn’t used to is having Angelina there.”

Earlier, OK! reported that Angelina attended the 2024 Venice Film Festival for the premiere of Maria, while Brad was there for the premiere of Wolfs.

However, the exes reportedly managed to keep from bumping into each other.

“Angelina will be on the first day, on August 29, and she will leave right after with [Maria director] Pablo Larraín to go to [the] Telluride [Film Festival],” said the event’s artistic director Alberto Barbera.

Alberto mentioned, “Brad will arrive only on Saturday, to Venice. There is no way that they can cross each other at the Lido.”

Meanwhile, Angelina confessed she’s “living in Southern California” because of her divorce and will leave as soon as her youngest children turn 18.

“I have a house now to raise my children, but sometimes this place can be … that humanity that I found across the world is not what I grew up with here,” she said.

Jamie Foxx’s eldest daughter Corinne Foxx just got married to Joe Hooten, and the father walked her daughter down the aisle, on Saturday night.

Garcelle Beauvais, the Blame It singer’s ex Jamie Foxx Show co-star, took to Instagram to share a glimpse from the intimate wedding in a now-deleted carousal post.

“Last night we got to witness & celebrate the love of @corinnefoxx and @joe.hooten,” the 57-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star wrote in the caption of the post.

“Your love & respect for each other is palpable, Corinne you looked stunning,” she added.

In one of the pictures, Jamie, who looked dashing in an enduring black tux, was sentimental as he held his daughter’s arm while leading her down the aisle to the groom.

Corinne, who looked stunning in a white off-the-shoulder gown with a floral motif, smiled while holding a bunch of white flowers.

Beauvais also posted a shot of the Beat Shazam co-hosts doing a father-daughter dance later in the evening, as well as one of her snaps posing with Jamie and his girlfriend, Alyce Huckstepp.

Jennifer Lopez’s friends ‘disgusted’ by Ben Affleck: Source

Jennifer Lopez’s friends are not happy with Ben Affleck right now and have been offering their shoulders to the singer to cry on.

A source spilled to In Touch, “All of JLo’s friends are disgusted by Ben right now, as they think the Argo actor handled their divorce “poorly”.

Jennifer’s pal Leah Remini also made amends with the singer-actress after the split from Ben.

The source told the outlet, “Leah is an extremely tough character. She’s had to be after all the stress she’s endured at the hands of Scientology. Her no-nonsense, don’t take any crap kind of attitude is music to JLo’s ears right now.”

“Because she spent so many months being tortured by Ben over the prospect of a potential reunion,” noted an insider.

JLo’s marriage to Ben “pretty much ruined Leah and Marry Me star’s friendship the last couple of years”.

However, the source revealed that Leah and Jennifer “are thick as thieves again” amid the divorce.

“They’re back on great terms again and closer than ever and she’s now assumed being JLo’s de facto divorce coach,” said an insider.

The source further said, “Jennifer is more than happy to take it on and give her all the support she needs.”

Not only JLo, but Leah also broke up with her husband Angelo Pagán after 21 years of marriage.

Another insider opened up that both actresses have been able to support each other at this tough time.

“Jennifer wanted her friend’s support. However, Leah saw the writing on the wall and straight out told her marrying Ben was a bad idea,” explained the source.

The source added, “Ironically, the timing couldn’t have been better. Now they have each other to lean on.”

Ryan Reynolds shares his thoughts on modern parenting

Ryan Reynolds has reflected on his and wife Blake Lively parenting strategy in recent times at HubSpot’s INBOUND tech conference in Boston.

On September 20, the Deadpool & Wolverine star spoke to author and moderator Marcus Collins onstage, where he revealed that nowadays parent “don’t yell” at their children like yesteryears.

Ryan said, “I took a workshop on conflict resolution, and that changed my entire life. I just didn’t know how to process things that I felt,” per PEOPLE.

“Because I [had a] scarcity mindset when I was younger. I didn’t know how to unfold that thing in your brain that conditions you just always to win or be right,” continued the 47-year-old.

Ryan explained, “Something I love about [conflict resolution], and I know this is not very fancy, but what I love about it is that you can meet somebody where they are, and you don’t have to be right or wrong.”

“You can disagree and still connect,” remarked the Green Lantern actor.

Ryan mentioned, “I have four children and so far, none of them seem to have that [scarcity mindset], partly because they were born on ‘Easy Street.’”

Elaborating on modern parenting, the Free Guy actor noted, “Parents today are so different. We’re so soft.”

“I don’t yell. I grew up with like — it was nuts, it was an improvised militia,” he stated.

Meanwhile, Ryan believed things have changed for the better.

“Now it’s like, I can go look at all my resources for parenting and remind myself how to be perfectly compassionate,” he added.
