‘The Cleaning Lady’ renewed for Season 4 despite leadership change

Crime drama, The Cleaning Lady, will be returning for a fourth season on Fox, despite its showrunners stepping down.

The Hollywood Reporter confirmed the studio will renew the show even though they are on a hunt for new showrunners.

According to the sources cited by the outlet, the leadership will be changing for new season as Miranda Kwok and Jeannine Renshaw will not be continuing as executive producers and showrunners.

Kwok, who developed the series, will continue as an executive consultant and will focus on the new programme development with Warner Bros. Television.

“The search for a new showrunner is said to be under way, with an announcement expected in the coming weeks,” the insider revealed.

The show is based off of the original Argentinian series, which revolves around Thony De La Rosa (Élodie Yung), a Cambodian-Filipino former surgeon who is currently working and living in Las Vegas on an expired visa with her five-year-old son Luca.

Thony works as a cleaning lady alongside her sister-in-law, Fiona (Martha Millan). After witnessing a murder, Thony is offered a job both as a cleaner and a doctor within a criminal organisation that pays her well enough to support her family.

As a result, Thony begins living a double life, keeping secrets from her family, while cleaning up crime scenes and evading the law.

Eric Roberts admits his addiction led to ‘losing’ daughter Emma Roberts

Emma Roberts has been estranged from her father Eric for years

Eric Roberts knew early on that he couldn’t be the father that Emma Roberts deserved.

In his new memoir Runaway Train: Or the Story of My Life So Far, the 68-year-old actor reflected on his difficult journey as a parent after separating from Emma’s mother, Kelly Cunningham, when their daughter was just seven months old.

“I had abandoned Kelly when Emma was just seven months old,” he wrote.

Despite the challenges, Eric described the joy of becoming a father. “The pregnancy was very exciting. I fell madly in love with Emma the first minute I saw her,” he shared.

Eric even recalled calming baby Emma with a familiar tune. “When I started singing ‘Happy Birthday’ to her, she must have recognised my voice because she calmed right down.”

Yet, Eric admits that his enthusiasm for fatherhood didn’t translate into being the father Emma needed. “I loved my little daughter with the strength of Hercules, despite my own weaknesses… I couldn’t handle being a parent,” he confessed.

Now, he sees Emma — a mother herself — as the nurturing figure he couldn’t be.

Eric attributes much of his struggle to drug addiction, writing, “The biggest consequence of my drug use was losing Emma. I was still impossibly coked up when she was born, which explains everything.”

Emma has been estranged from Eric ever since he lost custody over her.

Bieber is in a ‘happy bubble’ since he and wife Hailey welcomed their son Jack

Justin Bieber is keeping his attention on family life amidst the recent arrest of his longtime friend and collaborator, Sean “Diddy” Combs.

A source told People Magazine that although he is aware of the disturbing charges against Diddy, the 30-year-old singer is focused on his wife, Hailey Bieber, and their newborn son, Jack Blues, whose arrival was announced just last month.

“He’s aware of Diddy’s arrest and all the allegations,” the insider shared, referencing Diddy’s September 16 arrest on sex trafficking and racketeering charges.

However, the source added that Justin isn’t letting the situation consume him, noting, “It’s not anything that he wants to focus on.”

Since becoming a father, Bieber has been in a “happy bubble,” according to the source, prioritising his role as a dad and husband

“He just wants to focus on being a great dad and husband,” they added.

Diddy, 54, was arrested at a New York City hotel after a federal grand jury indicted him. The unsealed indictment revealed that he faces charges including sex trafficking and transportation for prostitution.

Upon Diddy’s arrest, fans uncovered an old “creepy” video of Diddy documenting his “48 hours” with a 15-year-old Bieber, after which he supposedly took the then-rising star under his wing.

Princess Anne’s take on becoming aunt to Prince William.

Princess Anne’s reaction to the birth of her nephew, Prince William, on June 21, 1982, was anything but conventional.

Just after returning from a trip to New Mexico, Anne was approached by reporters who shared the news of the late Princess Diana’s first child. Her response was stark: “I didn’t know she had one.”

When pressed further about the media frenzy surrounding the new royal baby, she didn’t hold back, simply stating, “Yes.”

While the rest of the Royal Family celebrated William’s arrival, Anne’s comments highlighted her straightforward demeanor.

A Palace insider revealed that her reaction to the birth of Prince William was influenced by the pressures she faced during that time.

With her engagements reportedly quadrupled due to the absence of her brother and sister-in-law, Anne felt the weight of royal responsibilities.

The insider noted, “Anne works very hard and sees her sister-in-law picking up the glory. She’s sick to her back teeth with it all.”

Despite her initial response, Anne and William have since developed a close bond.

As a father of three himself, William fondly recalls his aunt’s spirit, sharing a charming anecdote on Mike Tindall’s podcast about how she would chase her nephews around Balmoral Castle during their childhood.
