Kurtwood Smith announced a heartbreaking news for That ‘90s Show fans.

Taking over to Instagram on Thursday, October 3, the franchise star revealed that Netflix has cancelled the follow-up series to That ’70s Show after two seasons.

“I know you have been asking me when season three is coming, but I have tough news…Netflix will not be renewing,” Smith, 81, confirmed.

The actor, who stars as Red Forman in the series, expressed his heartiest gratitude to his fans worldwide and weighed in on working with a stellar cast and crew.

“I’ve said it before, but it’s worth mentioning again…this show had so much heart behind it, and the most wonderful cast, writers, directors, producers and crew an actor could hope to work with,” he added.

Smith extended his thankyou trail to the original cast members of That 70’s Show and all guest cast members before signing off with Grandpa Forman’s words.

“We aren’t going to be dumbasses…we will shop the show because good grandparents would try hard to get these kids graduated from high school,” he wrapped up the heartwarming caption with some hashtags and cheese emoji.

Additionally, That ‘90s Show premiered its first season with 10 episodes on Netflix in 2023, serving as Part One of the series.

Season Two expanded to 16 episodes, divided into Parts Two and Three, concluding in August 2024.

Tom Selleck admitted that he will “miss” Blue Bloods after the series’ end this fall.

Blue Bloods aired on CBS for over a decade, premiering in 2010 and running for 14 successful seasons.

When asked in an interview with Tv Insider what he will miss the most about the show, the actor answered, “The actors. The family of actors is as close as the Reagan family and the characters that they play.”

“There’s isn’t a single one of them who didn’t want to come back. Most shows don’t end that way — there’s petty jealousy and all sorts of things– and we seemed to overcome that. It’s something for everybody to hang their hats on and be proud of,” he added.

Throughout the series’ run, Tom Selleck, who is “frustrated” with CBS’ decision to cancel the show, portrayed the steadfast and honourable Police Commissioner Frank Reagan, the head of the Reagan family and a pillar of the New York City Police Department.

His portrayal of Frank, a character committed to upholding justice while navigating family dynamics, became one of the show’s defining features and resonated deeply with fans.

Tom Selleck is certainly not happy with CBS’ decision to end his longtime TV cop drama, Blue Bloods.

After the network announced that the hit series will see it’s end this fall last year, the 79-year-old opened up on why he is entirely onboard with the decision.

“I’m kind of frustrated,” the series’ star got candid in an interview with TV Insider, when asked how does he “feel now that Blue Bloods is over.”

“During those last eight shows, I haven’t wanted to talk about an ending for Blue Bloods but about it still being wildly successful,” Selleck, who according to the outlet, has “been vocal about not wanting the show to end after the 14th season,” said.

“In a Top 100 Shows of 2023-2024 (in total viewers, we were number 9 out of 100), if you discount the three football shows, we’re #6 !” he exclaimed.

“I’m not going to turn into a bitter old guy saying, ‘Get off my lawn!’ I don’t believe in holding grudges, but if you were to say to the television network, ‘Here’s a show you can program in the worst time slot you got, and it is going to guarantee you winning Friday night for the next 15 years,’ it would be almost impossible to believe.”

Selleck also shared why he thinks that the show was never given the value it deserved.

“My frustration is the show was always taken for granted because it performed from the get-go. So how do I feel? It’s going to take a long time to sort all of this out,” he said.

He further continued, “I remember after the weekend [of the final episode’s shoot], I said, “I’ve got to get to bed early tonight because I have to do my dialogue for Monday.’” Well, there was no Monday. It’s just going to take a while.”

Tom Brady’s former New England Patriots wide receiver, Julian Edelman has a complaint about the ex NFL player’s “texting” habits.

“I think he’s a little too old for texting,” Edelman vented to Us Weekly.

“You know when you teach your grandparents how to text and stuff? Maybe that’s what it is. He reads it and he doesn’t know how to text back. I mean, the guy is 50. We’re pushing 50.”

Edelman suggested that the 47-year-old, former quarterback leave his texts unanswered, maybe intentionally.

“I know that he sees them,” Edelman claimed.

Even with the playful teasing, Edelman shared his appreciation for Tom Brady and their former Patriots teammate Rob Gronkowski—both of whom joined him in Tostitos’ latest ad campaign. He also reflected on the new chapter that each of them is embarking on in their lives.

“It is very special,” Edelman said. 

“Now that they’re both retired, it feels very similar to when we were back playing, you know? I see Tom and how he’s preparing for his work now. It makes me want to be better at my work. I see how Rob prepares when we’re doing our podcast. It makes me want to do my job better.”
