Kate Middleton deliberately chooses to appear without Prince William in cancer video

Kate announced to the nation that she’s undergoing treatment for cancer in a video message

Kate Middleton is believed to have made the decision to feature solo in the cancer video without the presence of Prince William.

The Princess of Wales shocked the nation by announcing her cancer treatment that has already begun preventative chemotherapy.

William’s wife made the announcement in an emotional video message, which saw Kate sitting alone on a bench – dressed simply in a striped jumper and jeans – as she explained the news about her health directly to the public.

Whilst the mum-of-three paid tribute to her husband Prince William in her video message, noting that “having William by my side is a great source of comfort and reassurance too” as she faces this health challenge, there was one reason that the royal didn’t feel the need to have him appear in the video too, it has been reported.

Sources speaking to The Sunday Times explained that the motivation behind appearing solo and delivering the difficult news herself was a simple one: Kate was more than capable of handling it by herself, and felt it was important to do so. “This was her as a strong woman sharing an innately strong message to the nation. She didn’t need anyone sitting next to her,” explained the royal source, adding that William “has been supporting her and the family in the background.”

Even though Kate wanted to go it alone when it came to delivering the sad news to the public, and the report claimed, wrote the entire statement by herself, William was more than supportive of her choice to appear solo in the moving video message.

“She did it with his full support and advice, he joined all the conversations around it,” a source was quoted as saying. “On every level, he wishes she didn’t have to do it. But it was her decision, it wasn’t begrudged and he fully supported it.”

Meanwhile, King Charles and Sarah Ferguson have also been diagnosed with cancer.

Matt LeBlanc’s ‘Friends’ co-stars worried about actor

Matt LeBlanc’s Friends co-stars seem to be worried about the actor’s current state and suspect that the impact of Matthew Perry’s death about a year ago has got him.

LeBlanc,57, has been grieving since Perry’s untimely death in October 2023 and has hardly been seen in public. As per the Daily Mail, his most recent appearance is said to have worried his pals.

He was seen out and about in Los Angeles earlier this month, and his neglected appearance has “concerned” his co-stars, a source informed In Touch Weekly, after the stars pictured obtained by TMZ came out.

“Nobody is body shaming Matt or accusing him of anything untoward lifestyle. That’s not what’s going on here,” the source made clear.

“What’s concerning though, for Jen [Aniston] and all the Central Perk crew, is that he’s such a recluse these days and they barely hear from him from one month to the next,” the insider said. “He’s been in touch since the tragic passing of Matthew Perry.”

“But aside from that, he’s just hunkered down and doing his own thing without any real interest in socializing,” they added.

The insider further provided some information on LeBlanc’s change in personality.

“He used to be such an upbeat, happy guy but now it’s as though he doesn’t feel worthy to be in their company somehow.”

They added, “Clearly his self-esteem’s taken a knock, and you only have to look at the guy to see he’s let himself go physically too.”

But he is not alone in this, as the 90’s hit sitcom’s cast has his back.

“Jen, Courteney [Cox], Lisa [Kudrow] and David [Schwimmer] all want to get him back in the fold and get him smiling again,” the insider said. “The recent tragedy has taught them all how short and precious life truly is.”

Halle Bailey on breaking Veganism during pregnancy

Halle Bailey revealed that she left veganism after 13 years, because of pregnancy cravings.

The Little Mermaid actress, 24, discussed breaking away from veganism and her appetite for meat during her pregnancy with her son Halo, whom she shares with partner DDG, in an Instagram Live video that was caught by The Shade Room.

The video shows Bailey eating, with the sound of her eight-month-old in the background. She says to the camera that followers started asking her if she was still vegan once she started showcasing her culinary talents.

“And the answer is: not anymore,” she said. “And the reason being is, I think I told some of you guys that when I was pregnant, I had just, like, started craving meat.”

The singer talked about craving meat after being a vegan for 13 years, “I was just like, well, I’m gonna give my body what it wants right now because I’m doing a really hard job of growing a human, and I also wanted to make sure Halo was getting the proper nutrients and things he needed.”

However, Bailey hasn’t left eating vegan food.

“If I have an inkling or craving for chicken or something, I’ll eat it,” she explained. “But I don’t eat a lot of meat. But it’s like if I want it, I’m gonna have it and then that’s it.”

Ryan Reynolds on childhood and parenting

Ryan Reynolds compared the way he grew up to the childhood kids these days have, and how he implies parenting these days.

“I took a workshop on conflict resolution, and that changed my entire life,” the Wrexham co-owner told author and moderator Marcus Collins onstage while speaking at HubSpot’s INBOUND tech conference in Boston on Friday, Sept. 20.

“I just didn’t know how to process things that I felt. Because I [had a] scarcity mindset when I was younger. I didn’t know how to unfold that thing in your brain that conditions you just always to win or be right.”

“Something I love about [conflict resolution], and I know this is not very fancy, but what I love about it is that you can meet somebody where they are, and you don’t have to be right or

wrong,” Reynolds added. “You can disagree and still connect.”

“I have 4 kids and so far, none of them seem to have that [scarcity mindset], partly because they were born on ‘Easy Street,’ ” he said, laughing.

“Parents today are so different. We’re so soft,” he continued. “I don’t yell. I grew up with like — it was nuts, it was an improvised militia.”

“Now it’s like, I can go look at all my resources for parenting and remind myself how to be perfectly compassionate,” he explained.
